Instagram business account hacking is on the rise and if you want to make sure your Instagram Business account stays safe, make sure you follow these steps:

1. Choosing a Secure Password

When you’re choosing a password, you’ll want to choose something secure. Make sure it isn’t anything easy to guess – this means you don’t want to fall into the tape of using common choices like “qwerty” or “abc123.”

Instagram suggests using a password that features a minimum of six characters, including numbers, letters, and punctuation. This will make the password harder to guess.

2. Make Your Password One-of-a-Kind

The last thing you want to do is use the same password for all of your business or personal accounts. That way, you don’t have to worry that if one account is compromised, all of them are. Making unique choices will save you plenty of headaches in the long run.

It’s also a good idea to change your password periodically. Instagram will also detect if your password was potentially stolen, so be sure to change the password if they prompt you.

3. Don’t Use the “Remember Me” Feature

The “Remember Me” feature is handy because it doesn’t require you to log in every time you jump online. However, this also makes it far less secure. If you use this on a public computer or even lose the phone you usually work on, malicious parties won’t even need your password handy to log in.

4. Multi-Factor Authentification Is Your Friend

Instagram directly offers a two-factor authentification option alongside text message codes or third-party apps like Google Authenticator. This means you have to verify your identity twice to get into your account, shutting out anyone who doesn’t have access to these third-party apps. With these tips, you lessen the risk of Instagram business account hacking.
